Toni McClanahan

President

Toni McClanahan is a native to the area and lives with her husband Greg. Toni has 5 children and 2 sons in law.
Toni’s oldest daughter Rachel, 22, grew up at Dance in the Rockies and now Mikayla, 11, has been involved since age 2.

2008 marks Toni’s 20th season building Dance in the Rockies and the integrity inside its walls.

Hazel Owen

Vice President

Hazel has lived in the Durango area most of her life. She graduated from Durango High in 1987. She attended Fort Lewis College and graduated in 1991 with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. She is married and has one daughter.

Karen Bowlby

Secretary

Karen has lived in Durango since 1996 with her husband Bill and 2 daughters, Katy and Sara. Both of her girls started dancing as preschoolers and they have been supporters of Dance in the Rockies ever since. Both of Karen’s daughters have been members of the Dance in the Rockies Competition Team. Karen volunteers her time in support of the team as she sits on the Board of Directors and is the Director of Student Affairs at Dance in the Rockies.

Debby Biessenberger

Treasurer

Debby has been a resident of Durango since 1982 and has ten years of banking experience, where she acquired much experience in accounting, payroll, and human resources. She started her own accounting business, AccountingMatters, in 2001 and also works part time for a local CPA firm.

Debby has been married to Tommy since 1983 and has two daughters, Leah and Ashlee. Leah was a dancer on the RMR Dance Team for 10 years and Debby accompanied Leah to all of the competitions, many times as a chaperon.
