Dance in the Rockies – Durango, Colorado

On May 21st the Dance in the Rockies Competition Team took part in a community service event at the request of  Walmart in Durango.  As a part of Walmarts Re-Grand Opening the team performed 16 numbers, performing a 2 hours show.  GREAT JOB DANCERS!! in your performance and for showing support in our community.

Good luck to All of our Students!! as we take our year of work to the stage this weekend at the Community Concert Hall.   You will all be Awesome, I am sure of it!   A big thank you to the Durango Herald for the news coverage in the Arts and Entertainment section of todays paper, what a great way to start of what will be a wonderful weekend.

Dance in the Rockies Competition Team did an amazing job this past weekend at the Cathy Roe Competition in Albuquerque New Mexico.  To see the full list of honors go to competition results.  Highlights of the competition include, 12 Platinum Awards (the highest award given),  a special award for being the most versatile Studio, Franklin Wickstrom receiving the Mr. Teen Dance award, a best precision award, Natalie Miner receiving a special award for shining on stage,  Katy Bowlby, Abigail Owen, Tori Duhaime, Franklin Wickstrom and Mikayla McClanahan being given special awards for there beauty on stage and there dancing skills to be invited to the National Level competition,  and the Judges Choice Award given by the Judges for there favorite dance in the entire competition.  We are proud of all of our dancers!  Thanks for your hard work and to the Parents of these students THANK YOU for you support!

DITR Competiton Team will be traveling tomorrow to there first competition of the season.  Good Luck to all the participants!!! Have a safe and wonderful trip.

Students will be performing at the Womens Resource Centers sponsored event – Girls to Women- in both Durango and Ignacio 4/20 & 4/22.  Thanks girls for helping support events  in your community with your dancing talents.

Ballet Recital Saturday April 10 @ FLC.  Rehearsal in the morning and photos will be taken through out rehearsal.  Be prompt and prepaired.
